Accommodations

We have reserved a number of rooms in hotels in the Kyoto downtown area, from which you can easily access Ryukoku University. Special conference rates apply to these rooms.

If you would like to stay in one of those hotels at the conference rate, you can make reservations at the reservation page arranged by Ryukoku Univ. CO-OP:

Note that those rooms are arranged for GF2003 by Ryukoku Univ. CO-OP, and the conference special rate is applied only for the reservation through Ryukoku Univ. CO-OP.

Do not forget to register for the conference before making hotel reservations. For payment, Credit Cards (overseas participants only; VISA/MasterCard) and bank transfers will be accepted. See the above web page for the details.

The list of hotels and the PDF file of the Accommodation Form for FAX can be found on the above web page. Email applications should contain the same information as required on the FAX form. Please note that the above Email address and the FAX number are strictly limited to inquiries related to accommodations only, and please allow time to respond to your inquiry.

We will hold those rooms only until August 22, 2003. After that, we cannot guarantee the availability of the rooms, but we will help you make reservations as long as rooms are available. Please note that the conference special rate may not apply after the deadline.

In the case of cancellation of the hotel reservations, please send a written notice immediately to Ryukoku Univ. CO-OP GF2003 Convention Department. The deposit will be refunded after deducting the cancellation charge. See the above web page for the details.

Kyoto is a tourist city and has many hotels. See

for a list of hotels in Kyoto city area. Please note, however, that we CANNOT provide any assistance for making reservations in those hotels/youth hostels other than the ones held by Ryukoku Univ. CO-OP GF2003 Convention Department. Even if you make hotel arrangements by yourself, registration should be done through our GF2003 registration web page.

You can share a room for three or four persons at lower costs (some of them are Japanese style "Tatami" rooms). If you wish to stay in such rooms in order to save your local expenses, please contact:
